About the Internship
This internship is designed to give you first-hand experience within the government relations industry. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for researching and analyzing policy, participating in stakeholder and client meetings and directly assisting the CEO and GR team to advance client priorities. You’ll have the opportunity to contribute to the overall success of the firm through ongoing development projects alongside the Hill Impact team.
Overview of Responsibilities
Assist in drafting tax, policy, and trade updates
Monitor client-related legislation at the state and federal level
Conduct research on client issues in defense and technology
Create internal and client-facing memos, documents and other collateral
Attend meetings with high-level congressional and government agency staff
Experience in or knowledge of the legislative process, Capitol Hill and public policy
Willingness to dive into unique issues and contribute to the success of the client
College junior/senior or graduate student
Must be able to commit 15+ hours/week
Flexible schedule (opportunities for remote work)
Office located near the Clarendon Metro
For class credit or $8.00/hour
